For the 2nd time, Mayfair Fine Wines joined hand with Château Latour and hosted an exclusive vertical tasting of vintages crossing 30 decades on the evening of 18th November, 2012 in Xiamen. We were honored to have the daughter of the Owner Ms. Florence Rogers-Pinault, General Manager Mr. Frédéric Engerer and Ambassador Mr.Rufus Beazley joining us that evening. Mr. Frédéric Engerer led our 32 honorable guests to taste two rare old vintage magnums (1983&1975) which well shown their fresher style and great potential for further ageing due to the larger bottling format and the original provenance. He was also sharing with us the essence of Château Latour–hundreds of years of experience, unparalleled perfection in viticulture and vinification. It was the first time for Latour to pair their wines with local cuisine- Chiu Chow food. Our honored guests were all amazed by the magical marriage between the wines with the traditional Chinese cuisine. In the meanwhile, they were deeply impressed by the power, elegancy, consistency and longevity of Latour wines in such a wonderful evening.
